Hey remember i was talking abt potlucks?
Wow i went to a potluck party yesterday and there's ABUNDANCE of lip-smacking, heavenly food! If i had went for a buffet dinner like that, it would have costed me like $20~$30? There were like 8 dishes (Bee hoon, curry, otak, topshells, curry puffs, pork ribs, konyaku jelly, salty but yummy fries, some duck meat +char siew!) and we were 'served' with Vodka mango (mixed with orange juice)..that really was good. I dread drinking vodka. REALLY. And i didnt want to try at all, but once i opened the bottle cap to smell it, it was reli good. I had to try. Keke
Oh and the other flavor of vodka i like to take is Vodka raspberry..when u mix it with sprite, it tasted like some fruity soda!
Well i wish there were pics but i forgot my camera altogether. >_<
That was one of the BEST potluck party i ever went to!

All the below are taken from "The Daily Devotion"--Helen Steiner Rice.
Lord, dont let me falter, dont let me lose my way, Dont let me cease to carry my burden day by day..
Never dread tomorrow or what the future brings, just pray for courage and strength and trust God in all things. Rice Eveyone helps his neighbour and says to his brother, "Take courage!" Isaiah 41:6
Remarks:This is the day to depend on God and yourself. You should pray as if all depended on God and work as if all depended on you. Your strength is rooted in God.
Knowing God's love is unfailing and His mercy unending and great. You have but to trust in his promise---GOd comes not too soon or too late. Read 2 Peter 3:8-9 [The Lord is not slow in keeping His promises, as some understand slowness.] Remarks: This is the day to trust your Father at all hours. His kindness surrounds you, and He offers cheer to your lonely heart....
These are so beautiful and such an encouragement in times of dark moments and when you really feel like giving up....
Have peace!

Hi all....I was so busy last week for my company's event...and as usual, i took pics!
The place was beautifully transformed by a flower artist which i call him.
He's really incredible! This company is called Boenga and the boss is Harijanto.
And as usual, i haven got the time to download the pics..haha....anyway, today i came across an interesting article in msn about saving money secrets. I thought we all would have known it, but i guess not many are practising it!
Here's the link: http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt/LearnToBudget/6SavingSecretsFromFrugalFanny.aspx
In short, these are what the editor quoted from the lady, Frugal Fanny:
6 Saving Secrets ( Read the link for more details, my own comment in green)
1. Money is for living, not spending.
I am still digesting what this meant. But i do get the gist of it. Money is to help to you to stay alive! Survival means. Not for splurging.
2. Never go into debt if you don't have to.
Yeah..debts. For eg, car loan, credit card loan...home loan?
Hmmmm...how not to? LOL If you read the writeup, Frugal Fanny doesnt own a credit card but she uses her American Express? Hmmm...i dun quite get it..
And no car loans....that means she bought her car fully paid up!
It really takes someone humble to do this point no. 2.
3. Don't deprive yourself.
Yes, do go for a good meal once in a while(not every week) with friends. Do potlucks more often and dont practise shopping as a social thing with friends. I think that's GREAT advice!
How many times have you told yourselves not to spend anymore, but you went shopping with friends (as a social acitivity to pass time) and found yourselves buying things you dont need but want?
4. Steer clear of spending traps.
Head straight to the car or exit of the shopping mall aft a meal in the foodcourt or restaurant.Dont allow your eyes to wonder and lead you to buy things that you want( not need) to buy!
5. Beware of bulk buying.
Haha, simply said, avoid the "BUY 3 GET 1 Free!!" Or do you all remember the little goodie snacks at the basement of bugis? You buy 1 for $1.20 and if you get a box of 6 for like $7 instead of $7.20? I guess it's ok if you are having a party, but if it's not meant for a party, just buy 1 and eat. It helps to cut down on calories too! I hvae always bought the 'pack' and go home to realise that my kids arent eating them and I have to finish them all....
6. Avoid comparisons.
Friends VS Friends
"My friend has that, i want it too!"
Many times in normal conversations, your friends share that they wanna get this and that...it's good to share! BUt..the downside of it is...sometimes they trigger you into thinking you need a certain stuff and there you go to look for it...sounds familiar? Or your friends have them and you want them too!
Yea i think you get the idea.
Know wad you really need and dont be influenced!
Ok, will post pics soon..haha
PS: i laughed because i have talking about posting pics and i havent!!!!!
Alright, till then.
